Smashfest, Dominic Moore’s annual ping-pong tournament, has increased in size over the past three years. In 2012, the event raised $20,000 for concussion research. The 2013 edition raised over $100,000 and another charity was added —The Katie Moore Foundation, in honor of Dominic Moore’s late wife.
Smashfest 2014 boasted more than 20 NHL players and alumni and Stephane Veilleux defended his title as champion and raised over $140,000 for concussion and rare cancer research and advocacy.
